"The Moment of truth"

Some of you might have known this idiom because of the American/British reality soap "The moment of truth", some might relate it to the famous 'Star wars' or 'The Hardy boys' novels. But my discussion boils down to the deeper meaning of the phrase in contention. What exactly does 'Moment of truth' mean??
Well, here comes the dictionary meaning for all you readers- Moment of truth means a critical or decisive time on which much depends; a crucial moment. Yes people, it is the moment when all is at stake-your hardwork, dedication, the sacrifices in short all the 'tapasya' you had put yourself through to reach your present! My interpretation says that it is the time in your life when you got to prove your mettle, your worth to the world. The definition of 'world' may vary from person to person. It might be the set of close ones, it can be one's mentor, a rival or any person around or in someway related to the one who is talked about.
Every person on this planet necessarily has his/her moment of truth some or the other day and to tell you its not just once but multiple times in our life span that we have to confront this harsh(mostly) reality called the moment of truth. To make your understanding better here are few examples. For an MBA student, its giving presentations. For any student it may be appearing for the exams. For some pilot, sucessfully flying an aircraft. For a doctor it is performing a successful surgery so on & so forth. It is the time wherein after all the learning, practice, experiences one has to go for the 'final kill'.
Reading all this might have intimidated a few of us.But friends, RELAX!This is as natural a phenomenon as taking a bath eveyday can be.Do not be afraid or frigtened by it.Mustering the courage to face your moment of truth just makes you stronger, bolder & smarter whetting your skills in all possible manner.
Even if one fails, NEVERMIND! Theres always a next time to succeed.Moment of truth is just an acid test in which if you pass you are promoted to the next level to face the next set of challenges of your life.It also lets you know if you are 'ready' to survive & sail through the life lying ahead of you.So at the end I would just like to suggest each one of you to be brave, courageous & to face and live YOUR 'moment of truth' to the fullest!!

  11. Dear Prajakta,
It was really great to read on such a nice topic. It was aptly articulated and presented a great deal of insights. Just a few suggestions. Employ enough commas, they are required at few places. You didn't leave one character space after the fullstops. It puts a congested view. Last but not he least, I know you command good english, just try to avoid using funky words. Take reference of Sandeep sir's blogs. He seldom uses such gimmicks.
Wonderful and apt use of vocabulary. I enjoyed reading the blog. Would love to see you still do better.

In good faith and with warm regards,
    Munish.

Nice articulation and you have a good command over language.

Area of improvement- You can take now some practical topic except philosophy so that you could add some facts and figure.

  18. Dear Prajaktta,

It is a very good presentation about "moment of truth". I liked the point, where you potrayed about getting out of the tight corners or an exam successfully, does not only mean that you have won the show, rather one should get ready to face new challenge(s) now. And these new assignments will require higher degree of seriousness, learning experience and enthusiasm.

Oh! goodness...I can see the "moment of truth" right now, when you are winning over assumptions by putting down your thoughts in reality, which are articulated and presented so well. Ofcourse this gives very good insights to us and a different angle to think over these kind of topics.

    Keep blogging,
